Is it also hard to find parking inside the garage? Sorry, I’m just wondering whether or not I should take my car there or not. ;p

You are going to want your car. Garage is empty after school hours like after 7pm and before 8am. You will be hard pressed to find a spot there during school hours though. The only people who park overnight are people living in the dorms or Strozier all nighters.

You just have to plan accordingly when taking your car out. Like eating out/getting groceries at night so you never have to find parking during the middle of the day.

good point. =) thanks! i’m so excited haha.

Hey Im currently a high school senior and I got accepted to FSU and decided to attend the fall/spring session. I filled out my housing application and payed for it on february 22. When would I find out my priority number?

Thanks very much =)

i am also a high school senior, i just want to know what are the BEST freshman dorms on campus. i def want a suite-style room. from what i am reading the best dorms are…
gilchrist, broward, wildwood, and salley? any others with a good location, spacious, renovated, and have parking?

Reynolds, Bryan, Jennie Murphee. All right next to Suwannee and realllllly close to the library/Landis Green. I’m in Reynolds I’d say the closest parking place is near the Denny’s, about a 6 minute walk from Reynolds!

I will tell you my son’s experience. He had a really good number and got Broward which was his second choice. It’s a good location and a nice dorm but if he had to do it again I think he might have chosen another dorm, maybe Wildwood. Because he had such a low priority number, he was assigned a room with a sophomore and while not terrible, hasn’t been a great success. It’s a small dorm–only about 135 students. They aren’t very social and he tells me they don’t have many activities for meeting each other–but that Wildwood has lots of them. He’s required to have a meal plan and he already detests the food. If he had to do it again, he may have opted for a dorm that didn’t require a meal plan and had more social activities.

^ Yep, Wildwood is awesome.
