fsu email

D reports that if you change your temporary FSUID to your official FSUID, you also get an FSUSN (FSU student number) and an email address. Once you have your email address you can send and receive email, and will start to receive official FSU emails sent to the student body as a whole. And you can join the FSU network on facebook.

This all can happen once you pay the $200 nonrefundable admissions (not housing) deposit.

I got an email and haven't paid admissions deposit yet. Did pay housing though.

with the fsu email you also get your login for blackboard which basically gives you access to your whole student history..accounts,transcripts, degrees, classes, grades, finanacial aid everything..so doing it is a good idea.

LGY:
She received an email at her regular email address also today, but now has her own FSU email address---- XYZ123@ fsu.edu.

right thats what i mean. i signed up for and received my fsu email today also (@fsu.edu).

I am prohibited from using Facebook by my daughters. Maybe that's a good thing... ;)

If you activate your e-mail early, you can get your initials+08@fsu.edu. I got btm07@fsu.edu, but if anyone else has the same initials they get btm07a, btm07b, etc... Having an address without the letter at the end was cool, that is at least one less letter to type while logging in to Blackboard 1000+ times daily lol.

Strange, but D's is "initials plus 07" not 08. She will be a freshman summer of 08. If you register in 07 you get an 07 address?

yeah i got initials07c so guess that means i'm third person with same initials haha

huh, that is weird. I guess it goes by when you register

no it doesn't seem right...must be a computer glitch.

my s also got his and it has his initials plus 07 and then the letter g which our last name begins with

tested it last night and it is working
