heck, mine doesnt say its been sent to the dept yet either. i applied for chemistry. i hope we find out soon because i have my back up school waiting to hear from me too. i thought itd be in may but now im thinking beyond …

btw Eileen … my backup school is FIU where you are at now and i think i would like it a lot there as well, … i just want to hear back from fsu so i can visit, take it into consideration, and decide !

i shouldnt even really call it a “back up”/// i just think id probably go to fsu.

I hear ya… It’s my back up if I don’t get into FSU or UCF :)

GPA: 3.3
AA: No
Major: Nursing
Transferring from: Schoolcraft CC
Denied

I’m sorry to hear that…Nursing is extremely hard to break into… Keep your head up! There are tons of other schools with nursing programs…I suggest get your AA first

Ughhhhh FSU is taking Forreeevveer! It’s been 3 weeks since they received my final transcripts and yet it says on their website that it only takes 10 days for new info to reflect on your admission status…

I’m sure you’ll get in(:
I’m trying to hold off on Math at my school because the teachers aren’t great and I need a lot of help in Math so that could be why. I didn’t even get email my status changed, so just keep checking it! [:

yeah its been a month at least since they got all my transcripts and such. id really like to know so i can plan. what gives, fsu ?

I wouldn’t expect an answer for another few weeks. FSU is going to be inundated with having to verify that all of their accepted freshmen have not slacked off during their senior year, and that they are still eligible for entry into FSU.

Plus, all of the departments are going to be focused on possibly updating major requirements within the department, helping students at Orientation, etc, not to mention summer classes.

I’d honestly not expect an answer for around another month. I know the waiting sucks, but on the bright side, if you find out within the next week or two, it’ll feel that much sweeter.

Thanks for that info Pasbal !

You’re welcome. Sorry to put a damper on everything (at least temporarily). But with high school graduation season starting, FSU’s going to have to verify that every person in their incoming class meets the requirements to still enter, and that will likely take some time. :)

Individual departments are also having to finalize professor lineups for Fall, finalize course lineups for Spring, etc. It’s actually a very busy time at FSU. Unfortunately for you though you’re likely on the backburner for a couple more weeks :(

Not what I wanted to hear…Although some of my info was updated on Saturday so we will see…

Arycakess…when was your status updated??

Ohhh no wonder why they are taking forever with my final transcript. I called today and they said they are still processing my final transcript. I’m already at FSU (taking summer classes), but they need to look over my final transcript to make sure I passed all my courses…which I did.

GPA 3.3 from State College of Florida
AA at the end of Summer B
applying for exercise science.

status- Pending

do I have a shot?

I’d say you have a shot Tan

Don’t feel bad. I remember having to wait for around 2-3 months before being accepted–and I came in with a 3.7 and an AA from a Florida CC.

It’s like once every 3 weeks they update some minor detail on my application…they have all my transcripts but they still have to update one more school to say “Final transcript received” My status for UCF just changed to “deferred pending receipt of AA, please send as soon as this becomes available” which last year I was denied almost right after I sent everything in…So I’m taking this deferral as good news…idk we’ll see… My GPA is significantly higher this time and I’ll have my AA…

Transfer orientation is a waste of 6 hours of your time. Basically, its the same thing as community college orientation, where they stress studying/hardship/reality, etc. The typical stuff. Still, when you break into your major’s individual group, start making friends and stick together by taking classes together. They will be your biffles.
