@StantonMom --Thanks for the info on the MFA group! Maybe there’s hope they will release this week for the incoming freshmen.
@Liberty16 – It has definitely been a very long process–this was the first application due and the last one to receive a response from. If he gets in, it will have been much more than worth it. The program is fantastic, and the fit for my son is perfect. Here’s hoping your daughter and my son hear very soon and are classmates! :-)

I read on another forum that someone has been accepted yesterday. I don’t know if they applied for MFA or BFA yet. I’ll write on this forum as soon as I know. I hope that was for MFA and the e-mails for BFA has not been sent yet :)

I’m pretty sure that was for MFA.

@stantonmom turns out that one was for MFA but someone else posted that they were excepted today and they were a transfer applicant. I guess that means I’m not accepted.

I haven’t heard back either thejas - I think they must be holding off on BFA freshmen because no one from my interview group has said anything about being accepted yet.
Also, not everyone accepted will choose to attend FSU and there is a waitlisted group as well. Always hope :)

They may be notifying transfers first as they start actual, film classes this fall with the current group of freshman which my son is in. He and the other freshman are waiting to be “tracked” into their film classes for fall and they have to figure out the transfers before that can happen. Then I would assume new freshman notified last although this is kind of late. They have a new advisor this year as ms. Howard left the university so that coupled with the whole animation thing, may just be backing things up unfortunately.

I’m a transfer student too so I think my only hope is being on top of the waitlist.

BFA acceptances started going out via email this morning. Response date is April 17. Good luck to all!

Does that mean he got in?

If we haven’t heard if we’re rejected or accepted yet, are we waitlisted?

@stantonmom Tried to send you a message twice this morning–not sure if it went through because my sent messages said “0” sent. If you didn’t get it, maybe if you send me a message and I can just reply?
@rockprincess I’m not sure exactly what it means–maybe StantonMom can help here–but I think the process is that they sent out somewhere between 20 and 23 acceptances. The reply date is April 17. Once they have their acceptances’ replies (which should be a very high acceptance rate), if needed, they will fill in from the rest of the kids. I don’t know how or when they will communicate to the remaining kids. My guess (purely a guess) would be an email saying sorry in late April. The universal reply date for colleges is May 1, so I believe they would respond before then.
Best of luck to you rockrprincess! Although FSU is truly an outstanding program, happiness and success can be found in other places–if it’s not meant to be, then there’s another path waiting. Chase your dreams and be happy!

I sent you message monstermama.
Rock princess I really don’t know that part of the process as far as being wait listed Are you from Florida? You could always reapply next year as transfer, especially if you think you may still go to FSU anyway, or is that not an option?

I’m going to florida state regardless, I’m certain I’d be happy either i film or another degree as I was hoping to rush, and it’s hard to have both sorority and film obligations. I may reapply, but i’ll see how I like regular FSU first :)
