Thanks, thats what I expect. If I get onto the waiting list with a ridiculously high number, can I just cancel and get an apartment?

What happens if i did the housing app back in january but never sent the deposit…does it void that priority number?

yep, if you don’t send the deposit within 10 days you lose that number

My priority number was in the 8300’s but as of Wednesday I’ve been accepted into the Cawthon Hall LLC. Does that mean I definitely have a room in Cawthon, regardless of my priority number?

I applied for housing recently and I’m in the 8900s for my priority number. I wasnt even planning on going to FSU… so I’ll probably end up on the waitlist.

I read on their site that people on the waiting list are placed in a temporary room, I guess thats what will happen if I dont get off the waiting list

The temporary rooms are for those students who are borderline in getting a dorm. Believe me, I asked and they weren’t sure if I would get one But I was lucky and got into the Public Affairs Living Learning Community.

@spacesnlines yes once you have been accepted into an llc regardless of your priority number you are guarenteed(sorry if I spelled it wrong) a spot in that dorm

My priority number is in the 3000s, but my preferred roomate is in the 6000 range. If he doesnt get a dorm, does that mean I dont either? I know I take his priority number, but does that mean that if he is denied, I get to take my priority number or does my number get skipped over and I am left searching for an apartment?

sorry, my roommate is in the 7000 plus range

You will get an assignment and you will not be skipped over.
