FSU Scholarship and GPA questions

I sent an email to the FSU admissions office when I was admitted asking several questions, two of which were:
"When I send my senior transcript, will my college GPA increase, considering I'm taking all IB classes and two AP classes?"
and
"A few friends mentioned that they notified on scholarship eligibility on their acceptance pages on the site. Since I haven't been notified, does that mean I'm not eligible for any scholarships?"

I got a reply today, and I was told that my FSU college GPA was a 3.8, .1 lower than the 3.9 minimum for merit-based scholarship and potentially the honors program. The admissions officer suggested that I send in my mid-year grades when they come out to be eligible again, but apparently the minimum GPA required raises for the second round of admissions.

So, my questions include:
1. Does anyone know what GPA that minimum GPA raises to?
2. Do you think my GPA will raise enough to meet or exceed that minimum? I'm taking 6 IB classes right now, two of which are also AP classes, and I'm expecting to get at least honor roll for the semester.
Thanks :]

Bump for at least one response >.<

Some answers:

No - it is not likely you will find out what the new GPA is as it is dynamically weighed by FSU. It could be a lot higher or not much higher, depending on how strong the applicant pool is for the period measured. From what I understand FSU data mines the pool in real time and will close the process when they get what they want.

Very hard to tell - by all means get your data in ASAP. You have zero chance if you don’t try and are not prompt and accurate.

Hope this helps. Alumni complain all the time their children were not accepted to FSU. It has become substantially more difficult to be accepted.

Good luck.

You might not be eligible for any scholarships directly from FSU but if your in state please take advantage of Florida Bright Futures. And for FAFSA starting January 1st which is Saturday. The earlier you apply the more financial aid, grants, etc will be available to you. Good luck :)
