i heard frenchtown and all saints are bad. what's bad about it?

Frenchtown is essentially the “ghetto” area of Tallahassee near FSU. It’s somewhat run-down, and generally a “poor” area where crime rates seem to be higher than normal.

I don’t know much about All Saints though.

If you’re looking for a neighborhood close to FSU to get an apartment you have to be careful; it’s not just that a neighborhood is “poor” that makes it potentially bad. I was considering leasing an apartment across the street from FSU’s Doak Campbell Stadium until I checked the Fl sex offender online site and discovered over 50 registered sex offenders live within a mile of the stadium, including 10 sex predators out of prison now and living within 1/2 mile of the stadium. I cooled off on the apartment which has no security, not even a fence.

good thinking tallalassie. also pasbal i was mainly concerned just to generally avoid those areas during the day, since i also want to visit the surrounding city.

I also checked the sex offender registry tallalassie, and all i have to say is WOW. The amount of blue, green, and red dots I saw was crazy. I’m a transfer going up in spring and I’ve gotten pepper spray. I’ve even learned how to use it. It’s important to know how to use it because in the event of you being robbed or anything, spraying the pepper spray wrong or even at the wrong time, can result in you spraying yourself. This would make the person attacking angry and they would probably end up doing worse than they wanted. As of now this is my only protection. And if you want, especially if your a girl, you NEED to get a pepper spray and LEARN how to use it. They even come in different disguises(pens lipstick, mascara, wahtever). I ahve heard that frenchtown is a bad area. However, I have not heard about all saints. The only other advice I can give you to stay safe is what my parents told me. I live off campus five minute walk. They told me that if i need to go anywhere, to do it before dark, i.e groccery shopping, going to see friends, visiting my sis, things of that nature. If I must do something and its a night or it turns dark, have someone with you AT ALL TIMES. And most of all trust your gut, if it feels wrong than get out of there! And most importantly be safe:))
