FSU Triple Dorms

Hi, I'm currently a senior in high school who has been accepted to FSU for the 2013 Fall Semester. Next tuesday, January 15, being able to apply for housing becomes availiable. A few friends and I were looking at Reynolds Hall and saw that it has some triple dorms and triples with bath. I was wondering if anyone know how these are such as cleanliness, location, and size. Also if anyone could tell me if there is even a chance of an incoming freshman being able to get a triples dorm. Thanks!

In my opinion, Reynolds Hall is in a nice location, next to dinning and similar to all the other suite style dorms. You may have a problem obtaining a triple as Reynolds has very few triples. If your son already has roommates picked out, then housing selection will be based on the kid with the highest housing priority number.
Example- If your son has a very low housing priority number but his selected roommates have higher priority housing numbers, then selection is based on the kid with the highest number. This is something you may want to look into.
Piece of advise- Do WHATEVER you can to obtain a low housing priority number…The moment that housing opens, the housing web site will crash ( like always), but stay with it until you can get a low number. DON’T GIVE UP…

My son lived in a triple in Reynolds a couple of years ago during his junior year. The room was fairly large with 2 refrigerators, and they had their own bathroom. It is a nice hall with a good location and he enjoyed his time there. As for cleanliness, you and your roommates would be responsible for all of that, so it depends on the group. Having 3 people’s stuff in 1 room can get a little crowded, but it can be fine as long as each of you is organized. Unfortunately, I don’t know how difficult it would be for a freshman to get one of these rooms, but I wish you luck on the 15th!

Thanks a lot for the info! We plan on trying to get to a computer at 9 as soon as it becomes available for the best priority number. That’s good to know it’s in a good location and a pretty large room.

Another suggestion … Log onto the housing websitebefore the official start time.

I am in a triple for Reyolds this fall also! :)
