Fun traditions of U.K.?

I recently toured Uk and really liked it. However, two other schools I really liked I attended football games so I experienced the student life type things. What are cool things UK students do that really “enhance” or show their school spirit? Is there like school chants or sayings or stuff like that? I know there is a lot of school spirit at Kentucky but it was hard to tell since its “dead week” on campus right now. Any info would be great! Thanks

I’m really just curious what the student life is like

Basketball is what is big at UKy. Aside from that, the campus is varied. There are hundreds of clubs that one can be a part of, from Greek life to religious groups. Many students volunteer, have jobs, or just hang with their friends. There seems to be something for everyone. This week is finals week, so I doubt any students will see this anytime soon. The university website might be able to provide you more information.

Basketball games are really big here, and people get really into football as well (even though our team isn’t super great it’s still fun). During K-Week though in the fall (the week before school starts) there’s tons of fun events including the world’s largest water balloon fight!

Round about the third week in April, before finals, approximately 15,000 ping pong balls are dropped from the top of Patterson Tower. You turn the balls in for prizes. It’s kind’ve a way to take the heat off before finals.

Good grief, how could I forget Dance Blue? It’s in March or April. It’s a marathon dance competition that raised 7 figures annually for cancer research.
