Fundraising as a club?

My friend and I were thinking about starting a sort of fundraising (stylized FUNdrai$ing ofc, ofc) club at our school. Our school district is in a bit of a financial crisis; 30+ teachers were laid off this year.

Our major concern is being rejected, lol. All new clubs have to apply and go through judging before approval. To prepare, we've already thought of 10 or so fundraising events we could do, and some will be repeated (bake sales using in-season ingredients, holiday cards/decorations, etc). I also wrote out our plans for advertising (buttons/pins, we already came up with 'FUNdrai$ing' huhu), communication and organization plans, and schedule. As for how the money will be tracked, would receipts and a teacher adviser (required) be enough?

tl;dr: Fundraising club. Do you CCers think it'd be a good/likely to be approved idea?

It’s an interesting idea, if I was a school board i’d approve it in a heartbeat tbh.

You should plan on doing fun things for members though, and not just fundraising all the time.

I thimm that’s an unique idea, but I don’t know if the shook board would approve you for fundraising to pay the teacher’s salaries. I’m sure they would if it was for field trips, or more equipment.
