Hi, my name is Shaurya and i am an american resident with Indian education. I recently applied for Georgia Tech in early action this month and was wondering about my chances.

SAT - 1 - 1440/2100
CR - 650, Writ - 660, Math - 790

SAT - 2 - Physics - 800
Chemistry - 730 (sucks, i know and I will retake it in Dec. along with math 2).

12th - Overall - 82%
PCM (Physics,Chem,Math) - 84%

11th - Overall - 74%

10th - 9.2/10

EC - i am in my schools senior basketball team and i have volunteer work certificate in 3 different areas. I know French, Hindi (mother tongue) and English. I have also promised to donate eyes and body to research after death.

My brother is already pursuing his MSc. in EE (he is a teachers assistant plus has found research opportunity with a professor) there thus i have a 'kind' of Alumni relation.

i also will submit my LOR of Physics sir who has written about my practical and theoretical knowledge. (i have made light sensitive bulbs and circuits etc in 11th and 12th which glow automatically when there is no light around..pretty cool right?)

Since I am an Indian educated guy, i think i should be given some leverage on my grades as in India education is quite tough and competition cutthroat. Moreover my 800 in SAT 2 shows i know physics and my grades are low due to the very hard and rigorous schedule and work load. Moreover the exams here are made with ideology "students WONT be able to do this" rather than supporting student by making a moderate paper.

THANKYOU FOR YOUR TIME AND PATIENCE.
