Gaining weight

I have the opposite problem of today's society, I'm underweight and I really want to gain weight. I'm 5'10'', 130 lbs. Does anyone know effective ways to gain weight. I mean i eat like a mofo but still no significant results. I have started to lift weights and same thing, no significant results.

I wish that was my problem, but unfortenately it's not.

Haha, I think it must be so much harder to gain weight than to lose it, seriously. I force myself to eat more than I should everyday. I don't lose weight easily, I am just stable 130 lbs.

"I'm 5'10'', 130 lbs"

You are fat compared to me lol

I've been losing a lot of weight just by cutting down on proportions. How long did you weighlift? I tried weightlifting for a while, but I'm really easily bored and found it too repetetive.

are you a guy or a girl? If you're a girl, you need to shut up :)

hahaha what are your stats?

To gain weight, increase your consumption of fast foods and fried foods. Also watch alot more TV and quit working out. If you are old enough, tip back some beers.

Very funny.

Hahaha, first of all I'm a guy. second of all i don't want to get too fat, i wanna be muscular, third of all, I have been tiping back some beers for the past few weekends, and fourth of all, fast foods are nasty.

Oh, you're a guy, well, then that's cool that you want to gain weight. If you were a girl I'd attempt to kick you in your face for complaining, but would most likely not be able to reach that high. Lift weights, drink protein drinks, drink MORE beers, eat meat, drink more beer.

You don't wanna eat a lot of that fast food crap cuz then you'll just gain flab along with the weight. If you can't gain anymore..then..I dunno. You could try seeing a doctor..but your weight is probably normal..

Wait until college. You might gain some weight then.

It's just that I've always been the skinny guy and when I go to college i wanna be the hot hunk you know?

lol, there's only so much you can do, if you're naturally skinny with a small frame, you're not going to become incredibly jacked

it's also funny that you say to drink more protein drinks cuz today I bought "N-Large^2" a protein drink mix that has 52 g of protein, 600 calories, 88 g carbs... if i don't gain weight with this, i give up.

Track your daily intake for a week. Count the number of calories you eat average each day. Increase the number by 500 calories per day. Technically, you should gain a pound a week.

Eat nuts. They have healthy fats, tons of proteins, tons of calories, and are good for you.

Lifting weights will initially decrease your body weight (more than likely you will burn excess fat and break down muscle mass) but if you commit to it and protein load (ala the drinks), your muscles will rebuild big and heavier than before.

I'm 5'9 128lbs, so I'm in the same situation you are.

I'm just waiting to go to college where there's a gym right there and I can get on a strict workout regimen and add muscle mass.

omg..you think you are skinny??? try me! 5'11", and I weigh 118!!!! Im a toothpick
