Gallatin -- harder to get into? Acceptance rates?

Or are they looking for a more independent-minded student?

Haha...I've been looking for information on this topic, too! I can't really find anything though...only conflicting accounts (last years applicants all had different viewpoints on this one). I really want to go to Gallatin, but if I have absolutely no chance at getting in there now, I would rather apply to a different school (within NYU) and then transfer later. Whatever gets me in !(except LSP/GSP) I'm really hoping Gallatin is one of the easier schools to get into, but I kind of don't think so. I can't remember exactly where I heard this, but someone said Gallatin is only 10%, but I don't know if they were talking about overall or as a percentage within NYU.

Hoping to get into a particular NYU school because it is easier is not a great strategy. Especially if you are not interested in GSP/LSP). Take a chance and apply to the school you want to go to because of the major you are interested in.
