Game Days: Must Move From Northside Garage?

Do Northside Garage parkers have to move their cars on game days? Are the allotted number of residence hall spots "reserved" or "protected" at all times, including on game days? That is, if my son takes his car out of the garage and then returns to the garage on a game day, is there a possibility that he won't be able to find another space due to game day parking? Thanks!

No, you do not have to move your car from this garage on game days. Only people who pay for this garage can park there. HTH

I’m pretty sure you can park there if you have any valid A&M permit on gamedays. All the other garages turn in to pay to park.

I am sorry, I mis-spoke. It’s the West Side Garage that the cars do not have to be moved from.

Yeah, I knew about the convenience of the West Side Garage on game days. That’s a pretty good deal for them. Plus, I hear they actually get assigned parking spaces! Pretty nice.

My son got the Northside Garage, which was his first choice since it’s conveniently located by his dorm. There are no assigned spaces in the North Campus garage, but the admiinistration said there should always be an available spaces for those with permits. Now we’re just trying to find out if he’ll have to move his car for every home game.

Anybody here know for sure?

Thanks!

have you looked here for the answer? Parking

^Yes. I have looked there. The answer I was looking for was not clear on that site. I also went to the links there for game days and special events. But, if I can ever remember during business hours, I’ll call them on the phone for the answer.

Thanks, though, for trying to help! :)

I talked to my S who had a parking space in NSG. He said the top 2 floors are gated and you need to swipe your card to get in. Visitors cannot park there. He did not have to move his car on game days and he said there was no problem leaving and coming back and finding a space.

^That’s great news! Thanks, wemel! My son will be so glad!

Thanks to all for your input!
