i know it seems vain, so don't judge me, but i'm pretty anal about my clothes. in particular, i hang dry and iron almost all of my clothes. would you say that in general there's enough closet space to squeeze in a hanging rack for my clothes without intruding on my roommate's space? and do the laundry rooms typically have ironing boards? thanks.

these are both ENTIRELY dependent on what school you go to, and what dorm at that school you are in.

the laundry room at my school doesn't have boards, but everyone I know just irons stuff on their desks (yes...that probably isn't very safe).

about drying clothes...if you loft your bed this creates a place to hang a few things which is kind of nice. Over the door towel racks work great too. PLUS if you just get a folding one you can sit it on the floor for a day or so while your clothes dry...I'm sure your roommate won't mind. Mine does it all the time and it's not a problem.

thanks a lot!

I love that someone finally posted something of this nature! I thought I was the only one who would be going off to school in August more worried about the wrinkles on my polos more so than the condition of my lap-top (sad, I know.)

Glad to hear that cleanliness and ironing ability is an appreciated skill in college :)

Oh don't worry...I'm the exact same way. If you're comfortable laundry rooms sometimes have places to hang things too. It's totally never a problem for me.
