<p>I think you’ll be fine at any decent state school. FSU draws from all over the state, not just conservative (outside of Tallahassee) North Florida.</p>

<p>Yes, very strong community and most students at FSU are very non-judgmental/tolerant. One of my best friends is a openly gay FSU student.</p>

<p>Pride student union. They have a pretty strong presence on campus, and even host events (such as drag shows) that everyone attends.</p>
<p>On a campus of 40,000, we of course have our share intolerant people, but for the most part, you will be just fine at FSU.</p>
