General comments on the Jan 28th SAT?

Perhaps we can expect the April 1st exam to be extraordinarily hard :)

At least I won't take it then :)

I will :) 1 SAT down and possibly 2 more

WHATON OR BUST!

Did you guys focus on only one example on the essay? I talked about serendipity in science and how that led to many important discoveries instead of perserverance and concentrating in one area... does that work

generally is good to have 3 but if your example was fully developed than that is just as good

how much can we expect for a partially developed one example?

did you have 1 example?

yes.................

there is a rubric in the blue book..do you have it?

How about two developed examples in the same field? i.e. science in the twentieth century

the 10 SAT's book?

I am not sure what the are exactly looking for..I only 2 with into and conclusion..ran out of time

I only wrote 1 and 1/3 pages…I can't believe how some people filled up all the space.

I wrote the front and 3 lines on the back, but I write small. About 18 words per line.

length doesnt matter..most of the essay with 12's took up the same amount of space as you

My intro paragraph was basically restating the question. Did you guys do the same?

did you state your position?

I did that in the beginning of my second paragraph.

All I did was rephrase topic, state my position and follow it with something that supports it.

My essay today seems a lot like my essay last time (which got a 9).
