George Washington RD 2020

@LailaSultani did you receive the LL? We live about 10 miles away from GW. Not sure if they are still sending out.

Hey guys I was accepted ED1 and there are only like 10 people known so far who applied test optional who got in so idk if that’s an accurate representation of students admitted test optional bc it was only put into place for minority students and low income families. Also, rumor is ED bumped the average SAT score to a little over a 2000 and ACT to a 31!!! My college counselor said it’s almost impossible to get accepted test optional unless you have a near perfect GPA:( Good luck to all can’t wait for next year :)))

@mknj1234 Did you just find out now?

No I was just writing to inform people bc a lot of kids from my school applied RD and only two of the 12 received likely letters (one of which is #3 in the class and the other #10). Guess they’re stepping up admissions !!!

@mknj1234 My D and 5,086 other students applied “test optional”. It will be very interesting to see the “test optional” acceptance stats.

Well good luck to your D !!!

When do decisions come out?

^^

i think next friday the 25th

I heard the 24th

We just got home from vacation and S’s likely letter (post-card) was waiting in the mail! Very excited. He applied for honors, so fingers crossed there.

3/24 @jmajor62614

@matildak6 How do you know?

@curlykaI I forget where it was announced but this thread has a link to a google doc that has all the decision dates for most colleges. http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/college-admissions/1853138-admissions-notification-dates-2016-p12.html

@elc2435 did you say you didn’t receive a likely letter?

Hey! I’m new to this thread. Are decisions emailed or mailed or both? I didn’t get any online log-in or portal info from GW so I don’t know what to expect. I applied RD

@risingseniors You didn’t receive a GWID?

@matildak6 Nope, didn’t get one.

I wish they didn’t send them at all because this made me so much less excited about them @elc2435
