I did apply for SMPA, which I know I’m underqualified for. But I thought I read on CC that if you applied for SMPA and were rejected, you were still considered to school’s main college.

It was kind of a surprise, and I had really wanted to go for international affairs. Is GWU really this selective? Life goes on, though. Acceptance email from NYU today made me feel better (:

Painterchica: I had been trying for 2 hours refreshing the 500 error page, and then just now I logged in again and the page loaded on the first try. I don’t really know how to get it to work; it just did!

Hours later… I finally was able to log in.
This was the most annoying server of life and it was more than a little tempting to throw my laptop at the wall… but I got in. So its all good.

Waitlisted!
2130 SAT, taken 6 APs ( Scores: 3,4,5,5,5) taking 6 AP Classes this year, top 2% of class, solid/unique EC’s, lab research, amazing interview and great rec’s. I thought my essays were pretty great too. To be honest, I’m a bit surprised, but I’m taking it all in stride. At least I got into NYU today Yet, I’m really curious as to why exactly I wasn’t accepted, lol I wish I could ask!

Accepted! (: Congratulations to everyone who got in!

From what I have heard, if you were waitlisted its because you did not visit, or interview. Did any of you that were WL even visit GW at a college fair or HS visit?

I know they took people from the wait-list last year, so if you really want to go to gwu hang in there.
