@cfdg0898 I received it in the mail on Monday here in PA. I got the letter around 3 pm, but I had already called the admissions office to receive my decision earlier in the morning. Call them if you still didn’t hear yet, and they will tell you.
@MommyDearest13 Thank you! I agree that the EWL just seems unnecessarily cruel. I applied to Georgetown early action, so I’ve been through four rounds of decisions at Georgetown at this point. Getting deferred, waitlisted, extended waitlisted, and finally rejected really ruined my perception towards Georgetown and made me pretty bitter. It is bad enough to be waitlisted and have to wait on a school until May 15th while being committed to another school. But waiting until the end of June is ridiculous. I couldn’t feel 100% truly committed to BC because Georgetown was always still a possibility. I would have much rather preferred to be outright rejected regular decision cause even two rounds of decisions should be enough to know whether they want me. I was accepted to BC EA, so I’ve spent a lot of time envisioning myself at that school, and honestly couldn’t be more excited to be attending this fall. Love the school that loves you back
I got the same letter by mail. Encouraging me to transfer. At this point, I agree with @HSStudent938, I am ready to move on.
I also got rejected from the EWL. Not bitter, just disappointed as my GPA, scores, etc. were on the high-end of the average student profile. I’m wondering if asked, if my admissions officer would be willing to provide any feedback about my application that might give me some constructive feedback should I decide to reapply? I’m not really excited about the school I’m going to, but I’m hoping I’ll be surprised.
I also had the scores and amazing ECs. Honestly with all these schools its a crap shoot. Thats what they will tell you.
So not sure its worth it. Only a couple it seems got off the EWL
