@MrElonMusk , I’m hoping for you! I have seen you on so many common threads, you’re like a son!! Good luck!
@Winky1 and @adlgel , to add to the whining… S was waitlisted at WashU this past week, but did get into Emory and USC, so not all bad. GU, Stanford and Ivies coming up.
Waitlisted and rejected at every school I genuinely, with all my heart, want to go to. Please keep fingers crossed for me!
what about international students? are the decisions only mailed by letter or is there a portal?
If mail isn’t delivered on Sunday, it still counts as travel days right?
Look, even though we don’t know what day the envelope will arrive for sure, we do know it will arrive within the week. Just be prepared, regardless.
Georgetown needs to get their stuff together… USC mailed a giant package the day before Georgetown and I already have theirs (I live within 100 miles of DC)
does Informed Delivery show anything for you guys? because mine only shows mail that has already been delivered, not anything on its way
I’ve got a question. I submitted my SAT scores to Georgetown late. I was having a rough day or was extremely busy or something, and I wasn’t paying close attention when I sent my scores and I accidentally sent them to Georgetown College in KY instead of GU. (smh). They sent me an email telling me they hadn’t received the scores and asked me to send them by Feb 5. So I freaked out and ordered the rush report, and sent them an email apologizing and included a pdf of my score report. In the original email, they explicitly said “Your application will be in no way hindered by the delay in receiving your scores.” However, I kind of doubt it. How much of an effect do you think it might have on the decision?
I found this video from a few years ago while researching Georgetown https://vimeo.com/79698528 and was curious if anyone had any insight into this type of environment at Georgetown?
@musicalitty informed delivery only shows mail that is being delivered that day
Did no one get a letter today?
Within 100 miles of Georgetown and no letter! No one on twitter has used #georgetown2022 who got in RD either.
@mooseyellow Someone used #georgetown2022 in a tweet yesterday but it’s unclear whether that person got in RD…
If you’re talking about the first result: I twitter stalked her and she got in EA
@mooseyellow You did the detective work before I could. Got it, thanks.
so this is only barely relative, but I’ve always wondered… mail doesn’t get delivered to homes on Sundays, but is the USPS totally shut down on Sundays or are their inter-city operations still going? Like could a letter make progress across the country so that it would be more likely to be delivered on Monday?
@jroseduhon . Mail sent out on Friday would have been processed overnight at the General l Mail Facilit wHere it will be loaded for transport throughout the country. Plenty of USPS workers work 24/7 shifts to get the mail distributed. But the Letter Carriers, the people who actually make the residential delivery, don’t come in until Monday am. Go to USPS.com and look for the delivery time map. You will be able to see anticipated delivery time from the GT zip code to yours. Hoping for good news for all.
what are my chances if i didn’t send in 3 SAT II subject tests
@aussiehopeful22 probably not too great considering you did regular decision…they have more subject test sympathy for EA kids
