when did they e-mail you that, ealgian?

I am at Georgetown right now for accepted students’ weekend, and there are admissions counselors everywhere. I’ll ask them tomorrow when they’re mailing the letters and will let everyone know what they say.

Thanks pswib, any info would be greatly appreciated!

Out of curiousity, does anyone know which Gtown school is easiest to get into vs. Hardest? Its not a strategic thing, just curious

^SFS is usually considered the most difficult…as for easiest, I’ve always thought it was MSB since Gtown isn’t really famous for its business school as opposed to int’l relations/poli-sci. I may be be wrong though.

I’ll give the Gtown website a makeover if they accept me… :D

if you call the admissions office, the recording says that the decisions have been mailed, and they should reach you by april 1st. if they mailed them today, the majority should reach people by monday or tuesday at the latest. ONLY A COUPLE MORE DAYS!! Good luck everyone!

im expecting that most of maryland and va will hear today the rest on monday

no mail here in NJ today

where in Jersey do you live?

no mail here in Florida!

where you live in florida

i’m in northern va, i got my deferral EA the day after they were sent. i can’t wait til the mail comes… my heart is beating through my chest. after i got deferred i had the PI of the lab that i use for my research project send them a letter of recommendation…which means a lot considering i did my research project work in the Georgetown University Medical-Dental building.

they didn’t have my subject test scores when i applied EA, but i got 800 - Bio-M, 660 on US Hist and Math II (maybe they were waiting for the subject test scores…) I was a finalist in the Virginia DECA international business plan category (sending me to nationals). I also won the regional science fair (so I compete at the International Science and Engineering Fair) and the Virginia Junior Science and Humanities Symposium and am competing at National JSHS at the Air Force Academy. my guidance counselor emailed Charlie Deacon about this and he confirmed receipt and said he gave it to the people reviewing apps for Virginia. that was Wednesday of this week O_O

i’m not sure how listing this off will help me now that the decisions are in the mail, but after deferral i also sent a letter explaining that georgetown was still my top choice (some people here said that would help). if they don’t take me i’m going to go to UVA, which is still a great school. i should know by around 2pm or so…

good luck all!

i live in miami!
im excited I wanna know my D’s decision!!!

I got my letter yesterday morning. denied. they had an 18% acceptance rate this year.

Was that for EA? I applied and I read on the site that they send out letters June 1. I got an email on monday to set up my appointment with an alumni interviewer as well.
