I just called my house and my dad said the mail didn’t come yet in NYC. Mail always comes soooooo late here. At 4:40 I have my college class final until 6. I wanted to find out like now but I don’t really want the weight of a deferral on my mind during the test.

So I’m going to wait until I get home later -_-

the mail needs to hurry up in North Carolina…I’ve been staring at my mailbox all week
So so so nervous!!
Congrats to everyone who got in so far though!!!

I feel like they put a lot of emphasis on the essays and recs. My stats are the low part of my application imo. Keep your head up tho, you’ll never know. Btw, it says their acceptance rate is 13% this year for EA.

I am worried my grades and scores are too low. I have stellar/amazing extra currics and I got a letter from a member of the board of regents of georgetown. He sent it to the office and to the dean himself. I have a 4.7 GPA and I am ranked in the top tenth percentile of my class (my school dosent rank though). I took 7 APs and 7 Honors in three years, but I have one C and 6 **. My SAT is 2060 (690 math, 650 reading, 720 writing). I took the ACT twice and got a 30 both times, but superscored I have a 32 (36 reading, 34 english, 31 math, 28 science). My subject tests are low too: Math I: 700, English Lit: 620, Math II: 570. Do you guys think my grades and scores are too low for early acceptance? Its okay if you think they are, I’d like an honest answer. Also, I know gtown dosent supersore, but will they view my ACT as a 32 since I sent both scores? Lastly, how much do you think the letter will help? (he donates a hundred thousand bucks every three years and has certain “duties” as a georgetown board of regent, he also went there for undergrad and law school). Thanks!

Oh my God, how am I supposed to study for this final in an hour now.

Basic junk:
32 ACT
640 lit, 770 us history, 610 japanese
100.47 average
4 aps this year, 1 last year, got a 4.
japanese club, model un 4 years, journalism editor in chief 2 years, yearbook senior year, 8 college now classes.

sdgifdsfjk ill post a pretty version later.

Received my acceptance letter today on Long Island!!! I could definitely tell by the envelope size. @BigMeech23 I was worried about my scores as well but my essays/recs were really good so maybe that’s what got me in. Congrats to everyone who got accepted can’t wait to meet you all!

Accepted to NHS and I have no idea how! I also haven’t even gotten a letter - they sent one to my counselor, and it’s dated December 11th! I’ll post stats when I get home from school…good luck to everyone who hasn’t gotten your results yet and to everyone who got deferred, everything will work out well!

not sure how i feel about this “lots of weight on essays and recs” business. that was easily the best part of my app and i got deferred. we’ll see how things go when RD results come out.
