I don’t know how we would know as we only get one or the other. I guess the acceptance looked a little puffy.

@gbaby91 Yeah I figure a rejection would feel a little bit on the lighter side. I was deferred to RD and that deferral letter was very thin. Truth be told I expected a rejection as I didn’t send mid-year reports (I’d kinda given up on GU) but noticed the envelope was rather thick for a rejection and lo and behold, it was an acceptance. Hope this was helpful.

Anyone in the NJ area hear back?

Carbs2, did accepted?

Definitely the acceptance was puffy , not a flat envelope. It seemed obvious to us.

Dcestates, when was your letter mailed out?

Mine is dated March 28th.

^ thank you!

No Problem and good luck to your S/D.

Anyone outside of Maryland/D.C. get theirs?

I live in noVA so i’m expecting my letter tomorrow…i’ll let you guys know if i get it

As someone stated before, is it possible that GU sent acceptances first/priority and waitlists/rejects later? Just from CC it sure seems that way

@TrAnMu, thank you! Congratulations to you! You must be soooo happy.

Gaigee I’m an international in the state and no email for me either ! So no worries the letters will arrive in our mailboxes good luck!!

I highly doubt they did that. They probably sent them all out at once and it just has to do with the distance and processing necessary

I got into Penn yesterday so I’m feeling much less anxious, but Georgetown is the only other school I would still consider. It’s my first and last decision (deferred EA). Waiting in Florida!

Doubt they would do that for acceptances.

Also, how did you not send in your mid-year report?

“Also, how did you not send in your mid-year report?”

I assume that was directed at me. But yeah like I said I had kinda given up on GU after the deferral so the time for mid-year reports came and went and I just never sent it. So I guess the info on file from the original application was enough to make the decision. Not enough for EA but I guess I was competitive enough on the RD level.

Georgetown EA was mainly minorities, so don’t feel bad about a deferral. They accepted 880 EA and I calculated that like 250 of these were African Americans. So when you add in other minorities I’d say a vast majority of EA was minorities.

Guess today’s the day? good luck to all
