***GEORGETOWN CLASS OF 2021 APPLICANT THREAD***

same here! @collegemomjam i’m expecting thursday at around 6-7pm. the waiting begins…

When should PA receive the letter?

@cw656565 The map says the majority of PA will get it within 2 days

Generally if you live in the DC, Baltimore area you’ll get it tomorrow.
If you live in any other part of the country that is Urban or suburban, you’ll get it Thursday.
Everywhere else (i.e. rural, country, more isolated areas) might have to wait till Friday.

So it means that it could be tmr or Thursday?

Does anyone know what has happened with financial aid for EA students in past years? When will financial aid offers come in for those who are offered admission?

I believe March @candjsdad I read somewhere Georgetown gives all financial information in March.

@teenstogether123 That’s what I was thinking. That’s so frustrating when other schools seem to be providing financial aid at the same time or close to the admissions decisions.

@candjsdad It can be a bit frustrating, but, honestly, I don’t think I will be complaining about it if I get accepted EA… I’ll probably be busy passing out with excitement xD!

Fun fact: Last year on 12/16, they were giving out admissions decisions over the phone if you called the office. So for those of you who don’t get it by Thursday, call Friday!

@PAwind98 I agree! An acceptance at this point is enough for me… and @candjsdad I understand what you mean tho; it’s nice to see an offer as well. It’s like icing on the cake.

Yay two days!! can’t wait

Okay guys all this waiting is really freaking me out, so if someone could please chance me it would really help rn.

@leahDARS admissions is super selective, subjective, and unpredictable, but you’re undoubtedly qualified. You definitely have a chance, but no one really has great odds at a school like Georgetown

Based on reading last year’s EA feed, last year people in CA metro areas (LA and SF) received their letters the same day as people in the DC area and on the east coast (i.e., on the first day that anyone received them). This suggests that, perhaps, Georgetown overnights letters to certain metro areas so that most receive them on the same day regardless of where they live.
