All this “map” stuff is very scientific, and perhaps true, but if you look at last year’s EA thread you will see that people in far-away large metro areas (such as LA and SF) received their letters the same day as those in metro DC. This suggests that the decision letters may be over-nighted for local mailing to various locations so that most receive them at the same time.
Will they get here today?
I think the consensus is SOME people will likely get letters today. Probably those closes to DC, but may some others near major cities if the mail is being efficient. Please post where you live if you get a letter! 
cr062999 - Georgetown actually very publicly states that they don’t really admit recruited athletes (or legacy applicants) at EA.
I live in Northern VA, so I hope I get my results today…I’ll make sure to post here if I do.
Does anyone know about how international students receive their results?
I live in PA, close to the border to VA, so hopefully I receive mine today as well…
@dehcollege2017 I know of 3 recruited athletes in 3 different sports said all of the recruits for their teams (softball, w soccer, & w lax) will be admitted EA

FYI Georgetown university office of undergraduate admissions FB page has a post from yesterday (12/13/16)notes that EA decisions letters were mailed “today”.
Mail truck came and went here in Northern VA and no letter…sigh
because they were most likely mailed yesterday (according to facebook/twitter), people should start getting them today! make sure to check your mail, everyone!! so excited, fingers crossed for all of us
Nothing in today’s mail for me- if I don’t get it tomorrow afternoon, would Georgetown tell me over the phone tomorrow? Or would they just tell me to wait?

Florida but still would it be reasonable for me to call and ask tomorrow since the notification was supposed to be the 15th? @collegemomjam
My admissions counselor from Georgetown told me that they will not release decisions over the phone until Friday, the 16th of December.

@georgetownea21 They’ll make you wait till 12/16. They don’t give decisions on or before 12/15 over the phone
