***GEORGETOWN CLASS OF 2021 APPLICANT THREAD***

I think MOST of us in the continental US will get the letters tomorrow. Let’s hope!

I haven’t read through every thread but for those of you waiting - acceptances and deferrals both come in a plain white business envelope. Deferrals are one sheet of paper. Acceptances are 3 - 4 sheets of paper (one of them sometimes green or blue) and the envelope is noticeably heavy.

Good luck to everyone. Georgetown is a very special place.

We are in DC and my son got nothing in the mail today.

I go to a boarding school and I’m going home tomorrow for Christmas break. I pray the letter is in the mailbox when I pull into the driveway!

Just called GU and they said that if your letter doesn’t arrive by Friday, you can call in to get your results

Im so nervous I think I’m gonna die

I’m dying too

My friend just got deferred, we’re in Maryland.

First indication of a letter received. Thanks @jman8u for posting.

What part of MD? Baltimore county here, I haven’t received anything

I don’t know how I’m going to get through another day of waiting…
:((

I’m in NOVA and just got the mail. Nothing from Georgetown:(

How has only one person posted/gotten their results?? I feel like it should be a lot more…

i’m in northern va and got the mail without anything :frowning: so anxious

Everyone take a deep breath, we will almost certainly hear tomorrow and whether the news is positive or negative we will all be ok. The acceptance rate was only 11% so when we get deferred it’s not a reflection on us as people, and regular decision should have MANY more positive acceptances. (although i too am FREAKIN out)

Hey everyone! I just got accepted! Got it through an e-mail, not letter mail.

@isk2017 Is there something unusual that would explain your getting the e-mail? Are you an international student? Are you a recruited athlete? Something else? Was it a personalized e-mail or did it seem like a standard message?

@candjsdad Emails are sent to international students.

This probably goes without saying if people in No VA are not getting letters, but I’m in California and the mail came with nothing from Georgetown :frowning:
PRAYING for tomorrow and not Friday!

I live overseas but I am an American and the address they had on file was in the United States. I was very surprised to receive the email as I had spoken to my admissions counselor earlier on in the process and she said I would not receive an e-mail like international applicants but instead a letter mail because I had a US address on file. I’m ecstatic right now! Check out the other thread for my stats and let me know if you have any other questions.
