Georgetown EA 2019 Thread

@‌seabasstiano @needaletter I’m in Los Angeles and wasn’t in my mail today either :(

@muricabound‌ Hi I am an international student too and have not received anything yet either.

NorCal (just outside of SF). Nothing :(

Does anyone know if they will send us an email if we don’t get a letter in the mail today?

Accepted in Arizona! My counselor told me after school after she’d gotten a message from Georgetown with the information of all the students that had applied and their results (although I was the only one who applied). The letter was in the mail when I got home.

Houston TX, nothing in the mail.

I live in California and I haven’t received any mail yet.

@backstop‌ ok i thought it was just me. I haven’t received anything as well in Houston

Nothing in CO. Wish they’d just use email…

Hello, everybody. I hope I am not interrupting this thread. I just had a question that I hoped one of you would be able to respond

I completed the first part of my application to Georgetown thinking I was going to go as an EA applicant, but I decided later to apply as regular decision. So, I received a letter in the mail indicating the GU Admissions had not received the second portion of my application (essays), and they are now considering me for Regular Decision. What just happened? Did I just get deferred? I didn’t even really apply since they considered me without all my forms completed. Will this hurt me in Regular Decision?

By the way, congratulations to everyone that was accepted!

Nothing in Los Angeles yet. Just checked the mail. Do they mail it by UPS or regular postal service??

Also in LA, and like the other folks on these boards, nothing in the mail.

Goddamn it, USPS.

brigadeiro, you didn’t get deferred. It just means that they had not received all your application materials in time to consider you for early action. So it’s just as if you are applying for regular decision the whole time. Doubt it has any impact whatsoever on your chances of admission.

Will we all receive emails tonight?

Nothing in Northern CA yet. UGH

@go4fan56‌ what part of Texas?? And congratulations!!

We’re in a Houston suburb… And oddly - it showed up Saturday and didn’t grab mail until Sunday…

Accepted in Los Angeles
So excited.

Accepted in CT! Could not be happier!

Accepted in Wisconsin! I cannot believe it!!!

Florida - nothing in the mail. It’s killing me. My mom gave the mail lady her phone # lmao, so at least she’ll call if she sees it at the actual post office waiting in bulk!!! Email is so much easierrrr.
