***Georgetown Fall 2013 Transfer Thread***

It is March.

Two gruesome months of patience await us, and I thought it wise to look for people like me out there to share the nerve-wreckage and whatnot.

I applied as a Sophomore to the Walsh SFS, and I am dying to find out the results!

Same here, applying as an international transfer to Georgetown College, each day leave me a little more depressed :(

@tahinak

Which country are you trying to transfer from? I am an international student (in terms of citizenship) as well, although I currently attend one of the UCs.

@tahinak
Also an international student but apply to MSB. Currently a freshmen in a college ranked around 30.
Good Luck to you. Let’s hope for the best

I’m from west Africa but right now I’m transferring from a community college here in the US…

@yagi

Which UC are you at? I transfered from a UC to GU back in '06.

@SFS

From Irvine xD.

What are your stats if you don’t mind me asking?

And when is GU planning on sending out there admission letters? (fyi, the admit and reject letters are in a small envelope, unless they’ve recently changed to a large envelope for admits)

do you guys know when we hear back?

last year’s transfers began hearing back towards the end of April, around April 28th I believe. but they will notify everyone of their decisions by June 1st. I’m also an international student applying to transfer. I’m transferring from a top 30 US college, and I’m from singapore. the wait is killing me!

Hs anyone heard from GU yet?

Just heard back today. Admitted to the class of 2016 as a sophomore MSB!

Posted my stats in the transfer thread in the Transfer forum. Does anyone know when we can find out how to work out transferring credit?

Congrats! @seekingcollege The dean will contact you directly about the credits. They will give you a comprehensive evaluation form about credit transferring. They might even want you to provide syllabi for some specific classes. Hope to see you on the Hilltop this fall. btw, I am transfer to MSB as well, and a rising senior now.

Congrats!!!do they send the financial aid package with it?Which part of US do you live?

Thanks guys! I am almost certain I will be at Georgetown next fall barring any unforeseen circumstances (knock on wood).

I didn’t apply for FA. I live in the tri-state area.

Hoya saxa!!

Hey all quick question. When I pay my enrollment deposit, should I just “pay to the order of” Georgetown University or should there be another name I put down?

Thanks in advance.

any idea when financial aid decisions go out?

Hoya!!!Got my admission letter on Wednesday…Super excited!!!

Hey, does anyone know when the latest date is that you can receive an acceptance letter? In other words, if you haven’t gotten one by this point, can you assume you’ve been rejected?

has anyone gotten a transfer letter from the NHS school?
