i applied last year to transfer to Georgetown and was rejected which was devastating but understandable given the 2% acceptance rate LOL. ended up transferring to northeastern but still have my eyes set on gtown.
Are you applying again as a rising junior transfer?
yes!
anyone hear back?
Yeah accepted, but it’s bc I emailed them requesting an early read
100 spots for 2500 applicants, so acceptance rate was a bit higher this year
How do you know the numbers of applications?
what major?
I got accepted into Emory, and applied to McDonough at Gtown. Not really in a rush for a early read, however, how did you phrase your email for an early read? Do you think it could possibly be worth requesting?
Just curious, did Georgetown give out those numbers?
any news from anyone?
Radio silence … wonder if they’ll release at 6pm
People on Reddit are saying they got stuff today. I’m chalking this up to an L for me.
Accepted to McDonough today. It says in letter that they had 100 spots & 2,500 applicants for those wondering
Also asked for an early read, so don’t think this was an official wave
What other schools did you get accepted into?
Northwestern & BU
Did most people participate in the interview? And I know the interview was optional for everyone, but does anyone know whether transfer applicants that did participate had a higher likelihood of acceptance?
The interviews are given based on availability in the location you’re in. I don’t believe it contributes to your chances of acceptance. From what I’ve heard interviews are given to everyone they can give one too
So much for the “by the 15th” that some people were saying
