Georgetown, George washington, NYU, Tufts, Columbia, Yale, BU???

Could anyone please tell me what you think my chances are to get into the above schools?

I have just finished junior year.

SAT 1 (breakdown): 800 CR 800 M 770 W (2370)
SAT 2: 790 Math2 (I will take more)

GPA: 4.5 weighted
Rank: 69/ 736 (top 9.3%)
APs: US history 5 (I took 4 this year but havent gotten grades back yet)

EC: Business Professionals of America, Modern Music Masters (music honor society), NHS member, Service Club, Foreign Exchange club(president), German club(president; i lived in Germany for 6 years), flute section leader at top band(went to state IMEA, I will try to go to All-State this year), 1st place at piano competition, very good orchestra in Chicago (Midwest Young Artists)

Volunteer: NWSRA (help out with kids with autism), Ravinia volunteer (music), Japan earthquake fairs, tutor

Ethnicity: Japanese
Gender: Female

So, I know my grades are bad considering where I want to go.
But I came to the U.S. from Japan in the middle of freshman year so the school didnt have openings for honor classes even though i qualified for the honors...
So i got put into regular classes and hence my gpa and rank.

I also started flute sophomore year, so I'm wondering if the colleges will take into account my effort...?

I'd appreciate it very much if you could tell me where about I can go.
I just wrote everything down...
(I want to major in International Relations)

Thank you so much!

NYU definitely
Georgetown, George washington I think you can since I have not much info about them

Yele , possible

Thanks creamania!
I was wondering…are you saying nyu definitely based on just nyu in general or international relaitons major specifically?

(oh and yale too…)

ill see you at NYU hopefully. you have a hell of a chance going there, Georgetown too, it’s funny we have really similar school interest.

NYU, BU, George Washington - Almost certainly in
Tufts - 60% (low match)
Georgetown - 60% (low match)
Columbia - 35% (reach, but possible)
Yale - 10% (High reach, just as it is for pretty much everyone)

What hurts you the most is the relatively low rank (what is that 4.5 out of? 5?). Hopefully your guidance counselor explains the situation in her recommendation letter, and if so I don’t think it’ll be very much of a problem (provided that you got As in the non-Honors classes you had to take after you moved). ECs are slightly weak, but definitely focused on music and orchestra (which is good).

Chance back? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1172630-insert-attention-grabbing-title-here.html

thank you guys!

I thought goergetown would be a high reach for me…Well this is a nice surprise though I know this is all flexible.

So i got my AP scores today and it’s kinda disappointing so I’m wondering if that’ll change stuff.

AP US history (last year) -5
Calc BC - 4
US Govt - 4
English language - 4
Macroeconomics - 5

Especially since I want to go into international relations and i only have a 4 for govt…
