Hi, I am having my Georgetown interview next week, and am wondering what to expect? What types of questions will I get asked? Also, how should I dress?
Thanks

bump bc I’m having mine tomorrow and would love some advice
Bump, in the same boat!
@bwalts61 @yonceonhismouth @c011e9e Hope your interviews went well. I have to schedule mine soon. How did it go?
@class0f2017 mine is today, I will let you know
@class0f2017 Mine went well. My interviewer focused heavily on going over my transcript and resume, and it went REALLY long- 90 minutes- but he said he was very impressed by me so I thought that was good.
@yonceonhismouth That’s good to hear. I just got assigned my interviewer recently and emailed her. How long was it between your initial email and actual interview? Hoping to get it done within the next two weeks. Also, my interviewer is an hour away, do you think it would look bad if I asked to have it over a weekend? I want to make my best effort to be open with scheduling it and I know alumni are busy but I really can’t spend two hours driving during the school week.
Your interview sounds odd, most people say that its not really focused on grades and more on personal qualities, goals, why this school, etc. It sounds like your interviewer like you though. Good luck with admissions!
@class0f2017 Yes, my interview was quite surprising in that way- he also read straight from the script that Georgetown gives their alum interviews.
It was about two weeks from my first email to schedule the interview, but it also took my interviewer a week to respond to that initial email.
I think as long as you are somewhat flexible they will understand things like distance etc.
I had my interview yesterday. From the first interview to the actual thing was only about a week apart.
@c011e9e How did it go? Mine is scheduled now and I’m really nervous, but also excited. Did you take a resume?
It went so well!! We communicated via email initially and said I didnt have to bring a resume.
But yea, I was super nervous before hand, but it went really well!
Let your passion for Georgetown come through, I’m sure you’ll do great!
Did you all already turn in your entire application before the interview?
Yes @cjchasinglife
@c011e9e Thank you! I haven’t had my interview yet but it doesn’t seem too formal either. It’s in a coffee shop and the email said it was informal. Did urs say explicitly to not bring a resume? Mine didn’t say to bring or not so I’m not sure if I should.
@classof2017 My interview was informal as well. It took place in my interviewers basement. She didn’t say to bring a resume, but I brought, which was good, because she did want to see one
@class0f2017 mine said that he wanted a conversation rather than a resume. He said that he wanted to learned about me and my accomplishments from our conversation
I say always take a resume, offer it and then leave it up to them whether they accept or decline it.
