<p>I just submitted my application for Georgetown, Early Decision (I know I'm really late, I had to wait until my parents had the money for the application fee) and their email said that in 2-4 weeks I should get an additional email giving me the name and contact info of my assigned alumni interviewer. Does the interview have to be done before the Nov. 1st deadline? Did I wait too long to send in my application??? I'm slightly freaking out about this!</p>
<p>I am sorry to interpret this, I don’t have the answer to this question but I want to apply Georgetown RD. Do you know if the interview email thing will start after I fill out the basic information and pay the application fee or after I submit in the application?</p>
<p>^ I applied RD to Georgetown last year but submitted Part I of my application really early. They will contact you as soon as they have your information–an alumni got in touch with me in late October. So yes, after you pay the fee and fill out your information, you’ll receive notice of an alumni interview shortly.</p>
<p>As for OP’s question, I don’t think the interview has to be done that quickly–the EA (not ED) deadline is just for your part of the application, and things like recommendations and interview evaluations can be sent in later. </p>

<p>If your application is in on by the deadline, that is fine. I’m imagine that they will schedule the interview before the decision is due. If you have any concerns or if you don’t hear back within the time-frame they set up (4 weeks), email admissions.</p>
<p>I actually just had my interview today. I’m also applying EA. I submitted part 1 on June 5, part 2 on August 22, and received information for my interview on September 22, so 4 weeks is a pretty accurate estimation. Good luck!</p>

<p>I have done alumnae interviews for Georgetown. Your interview does not have to be done by Nov 1st. The Nov 1st deadline just applies to the submission of your application.</p>
