Four students were taken from my son’s school a few years ago. A student with a higher GPA/score combo (and equivalent ECs) than all of those accepted was actually rejected so it’s hard to predict. Good luck!
im really nervous, I was deferred EA, would someone please chance me on being admitted:

essays were phenomenal according to multiple teachers and college counselors
interview went really well and my interviewer told me i would be a perfect fit for GU
@k41500 You have a shot, but it’s impossible to chance. What’s your rank? If N/A, what the highest GPA that’s applied from your school. SAT IIs?
Don’t dwell on what your interviewer said; I was essentially told the same thing in Hopkins interview, and I got straight up rejected (I mean I hadn’t read into what the interviewer said as they only see you and not your whole application).
Don’t stress so much; You’ll know soon
Tweet came from Georgetown U. account, not Georgetown Admissions. Betting someone made a boo-boo.
So is that Tweet saying this week a mistake of some sort??
Somebody posted on the Georgetown 2022 Applicants Discussion thread that last year they sent out the letters the morning of the first day of EA Admitted Student weekend which was March 24th last year. If that is repeated, they would be mailed this Friday, March 23 this year. Somebody should merge the two threads, this one and the Georgetown 2022 Applicants thread.
We were thinking March 23rd for the mailing until that confusing tweet was released late yesterday afternoon. If they want kids to post their reactions for their decision this week, they letters have got to be in the mail, imo.
Can somebody please post the link of that tweet I cant find it
See post #25 @Tennisboy2022
@Winky1 , I read that tweet as being directed to EA admitted students who had their experience last December when they opened their letter, and asking them to tweet this week about it because it is early admit day this weekend. I believe the RD letters will be mailed on Friday, March 23.
@nomorelurker that is the only other possibility I can think of. You explained it well. But if that is the case, don’t you think it was worded unclearly? I do.
Also don’t you think it is late to be asking for such videos?
Just want to reiterate, as said above, that if you have UPS Informed Delivery, please let us know what it says for you if/when there’s something to be seen. Thanks!
It’s sent through the USPS, right? Not UPS?
@mclmom , I agree. When I first read it, I thought it meant the letters were coming this week. That was my first interpretation. However, after I thought about it, I came up with the possibility that @nomorelurker explained. I think either is plausible.
Yes, USPS. And I didn’t get anything today as expected
Informed delivery only shows you your mail the day it is being delievered, so it will only save you a few hours of waiting, not days.
Sorry, just woke up But yes, USPS. And I’d rather know the morning of than be totally caught off guard when I get home
My thoughts are that the tweet is for EA students to get RD students pumped for their decisions next weeks
