Applying to Georgetown College as an English Major.
Puerto Rican Male
1st college GPA: 3.6, 25 credits (decent liberal arts school)
2nd college GPA: 3.88, 47 credits (community college) should be 4.0 but I took a tough chemistry class and got a B- 3 semesters ago.
HS GPA: 3.4, Class Rank: 36/278

If it means anything I have a 4.0 in all 5 of my English courses taken in college.

SAT score: (10/2007) Reading- 600, Math- 580, Writing- 720 (9/12 essay)
retook this past October: Reading 640, Math- 570, Writing- 740 (11/12 essay)
(yeah I know I didn't do much better, I didn't really take it as seriously as I could have because I was focused more on my college classes when I took it0

My professors wrote me excellent recommendations (I got 2 instead of the required 1) and my high school counselor wrote a letter for me which details my personal struggles throughout HS and everything I had to overcome with a broken family.

Do you think I have a legitimate shot of admission?
