Georgetown Transfer Thread

Congrats to you guys for getting accepted! I’m so nervousss =/

Anyone down for a new chat?

Haha I’m in class right now, but sure, I have a 95 in it so I think I’ll be okay :)

[fvov9 - Tinychat](<a href=“Live video chat rooms, simple and easy. - Tinychat”>Live video chat rooms, simple and easy. - Tinychat) - Chat!

I’m soooo nervous! I feel like with everyone hearing back already I should just give up…

I mean my college gpa is great - I’m a freshman - last semester was a 4.0 and this semester will be as well with multiple A+.
I’m just worried about the stock they put into hs grades…my grades weren’t great and its an overall downward trend. Also I got a 31 on the ACT but never took the SAT because it wasn’t needed for any schools I was applying to… I have good ECs and Recs - worked on the georgetown campus last summer and will agan this year in addition to that - and know my interview went well but…

Seeing everyone else’s stats terrifies me (and looking at threads from last year). PERFECT students can be rejected so…idk it’s so hard not to worry.

Georgetown is my dreammmmm school!! At least I got into American so ill definitely be in DC next year (waiting to hear back from GW as well)

I’ve been following this thread and had to post given how nervous I am at this point.

Also applying to MSB…

Can accepted students post the school they applied to, their stats, and if they were waitlisted last year?

How am I supposed to focus on finals?!?! Ahhh

Hi guys, i have an update… one of my friend, he told me that he got an acceptance email today when I coincidentally met him in the library around 6pm. I knew his stats, not very shining, his gpa is 3.8 but SAT is relatively low, which is around 1800. He applied to MSB… Since some of MSB applicants heard back this week, it probably means GT MSB begins to send out the result…

no clue about college… college still doesn’t send out too many offers, right?
Since in this tread just two applicants got email last friday… this week still no applicants hear back from college…

why no one is here tonite? Everyone, including me, who still wait for the results, got depressed?

ive been following this thread and i thought it would be helpful to let you all know that i got accepted into the college as a government major today around 5:30. Good luck to everyone!

This is sooo random and soo annoying!

@elk were you weightlisted last year? Strong applicant?

This isn’t helping…

I mean @elg212

@elg212

do u mind sharing ur stats here?

can everyone who has been accepted say if you’ve applied before this year and was on the waitlist? trying to see if there really is a trend.

I am pretty sure that my friend who got a MSB acceptance email today, was NOT on waitlist on his freshman application.

I applied last year and was put on the waitlist, so that fits with the trend so far. My college GPA is 3.88, HS was 3.51 unweighted. SATs were 1480/2280. My ec’s weren’t anything spectacular but somewhat solid. My essays were decent i think and i had good teacher recs. overall i think my grades were my main strength. im also coming from a comparable school to georgetown.

@elg212
thanks for sharing your data! It seems that the trend about waitlist makes sense in most cases.

So is the trend meaning that we are only in the “auto-admit” round of gtown college acceptances and still most of the decisions haven’t been made yet?

Does anyone know how it worked in past years if everyone from a particular school for example MSB got their acceptance emails at the same time? Or were the acceptances staggered over a few days?

@trakke

i really hope so! Just few exceptions…
