northern new jersey, no letter?
@hzhao2004 a lot of people at my school only applied because they thought it would be better than nothing if they were not accepted to an Ivy League. That being said, they still applied to other great schools, but a lot of people I know applied without any reason. Of course that isn’t indicative of the total applicant pool.
I’m in central NJ for anyone wondering
@luv2sk8 mine weren’t great and my interviewer said they really weren’t necessary it was more just to show further initiative (but only if you did exceptionally well)
all of my friends sent 3 except for one of them who also didn’t send any (all of them were rejected)
So for Southern California applicants, when do you guys expect that we get a call? Would we have to wait until Wednesday? That would suck considering tons of people got their decisions yesterday or Friday.
@longball9229 I am in CA and applied EA. The EA letter took over 10 days to arrive. I called on the 4th day after the release date and Admissions told me over the phone. Phone calls from EA started the day before and day of notification date. My guess phone calls will start Monday/Tuesday.
Good Luck!
@luv2sk8 i was accepted SFS and I only submitted two - a 700 and 750. You’re probably fine
@studywiki ok so do you think that it I called them tomorrow they would give it to me over the phone or should I wait Til they call me? Thanks.
Has anyone from MA received their decision yet? I understand that some Californians haven’t yet but I would think MA applicants would receive relatively early
I’m pretty worried about getting the mail tomorrow. Seriously don’t know which way the admissions team will go with my app I’d really love to consider it as an option but if not I do still have Duke and Notre Dame so far
Are 690 US and 670 bio (lol) too low for SAT II?
Hey all! I just learned that Regular Decision Phone Calling (for accepted students) by Georgetown students will begin tomorrow. The dates and times are:
Monday, March 30, 6-8 pm EST
Tuesday, March 31, 6-8 pm EST
Wednesday, April 1, 7-9 pm EST
I’m hoping that if you haven’t received your letter yet and/or don’t receive it tomorrow, you’ll receive a phone call! Good luck to all. Hoya Saxa!
@cookiesncream19 do you have a source? Also, does that mean that only accepted applicants will get phone calls? Rejected/waitlisted applicants will not know?
@stilchs4 thank you. I’m getting really nervous. my two SAT subjects are good, the 3rd one is not.
@cookiesncream19 do you know how they deal with people abroad? Not wild about a phone call at midnight…
So for admitted students, they will be calling and mailing a letter?
Do the stamp prices correspond to your decision?
@hopefulstanford yesss
@longball9229 My friend (SFS '17) told me about the event for RD calling – she did EA calling back in December and said they only notified accepted students. If you search for the Georgetown Admissions Ambassador Program page on Facebook, you’ll also see that they created an event called “Regular Decision Phone Calling.” The description for the event says, “Come out for accepted student phone calling this week” so I imagine that you will only receive a phone call from a Georgetown student if you are accepted.
@stilchs4 I don’t know if international students will receive a phone call. My friend says she has no idea, sorry!
@pianogeek Yes, if you are admitted (to any Georgetown school), you will receive a letter and a phone call from a Georgetown student (can’t confirm if you will receive a phone call if you’re international, but can confirm that they will try to call you if you live in the US).
@hopefulstanford Before I received my letter, I heard that stamp prices do, in fact, correspond to your decision. However, my postage cost $2.13 (accepted) and I’ve heard others who’ve been accepted with a postage of $0.69.
Best of luck!
What was the postage on a letter for someone who was rejected or waitlisted?
