Georgetown University Transfer 2019

rejected  already committed to vandy though

For those on the waitlist - look at thehoya webpage, there is a May 15 article "University Yield Rate Falls…"about acceptances/waitlist expectations. It looks like this year should be better for waitlisted students than last year.

@boyandgirl Could you link that? Thanks.

REJECTED

does anyone know the number of people on the waitlist?

Waitlist - applied as biochem

The article mostly talked about the class of 2023. But apparently they admitted 140 transfers thinking 100 would enroll. They’re being much more cautious about their acceptances because more than expected accepted last year so that’s why the transfer rate was so low in 2018

Waitlisted for McDonough

Hi to anyone who has been accepted and has chosen not to enroll: can you please let us know? thank you and congratulations anyway!

Does anyone know if they will consider your application again for spring 2020 if you selected both on your application? Or will they not be admitting students for the spring?

@maca51 I asked, they said most students accepted to Spring will come from the waitlist, like 50 per year to spring admission in addition to fall admission.

Anyone have any ideas for the LOCI? I know usually you are supposed to update it with accomplishments but it’s only been 2 months since we submitted our applications. And does anyone think it would be worth going to GU in person for? I’m gonna be in DC in early June anyway

if you do get off the waitlist does anyone know how long they give you to decide if you’re gonna attend?

@laxgirl77 I saw on the freshman waitlist thread that someone got like 2 or 3 days to decide after they were admitted.

Waitlisted students: have you sent anything yet or heard anything? Has anyone taken their name off the waiting list?

I wrote a LOCI and added one update to my application (acceptance letter to a scholarship program)

I also wrote a LOCI

Anyone hear anything yet?

No did you??

I did not
