I will be a senior next year and have not taken any sat subject tests. Georgetown says that this is all right and will be overlooked if a student applies EA (which I plan on doing). Will this greatly hurt my chances of acceptance?
FROM GEORGETOWN’S PAGE:
SAT Subject Tests - It is strongly recommended that all candidates, whether they have taken the SAT Reasoning Test or the ACT, submit three SAT Subject Tests scores. The scores from writing portion on the SAT Reasoning Test and the optional writing portion of the ACT will not be used in place of a Subject Test.
Although Subject tests are a requirement in some circumstances, they allow for the university to compare you with other students. I would say that ATLEAST 80% of Georgetown applicants have taken atleast 1 subject test. I’m not sure about how they will feel about u taking all three subject tests next year. I would highly recommend that you take one in August or September just to play it safe.
