Georgetown v Rice

I've been accepted to both, but I have no idea what to choose. I'm not really sure what I'll be majoring in, but I know it will not be anything in the sciences department. I'm pretty sure Social Science or the Humanities will be my best option. I haven't visited either of the campuses yet, but I've heard that they're equally beautiful. Rice is considered the "Harvard of the South" but I think few people have ever heard of it. Georgetown is a place where I'll be taught by politicians. Rice, according to Princeton Review, is rated in the top 5 of overall undergraduate experience, and number one for best quality of life. Kiplingers has given it the number 2 best value college. Georgetown is well Georgetown! I need some help with my decision. What do you guys think?

If you are considering the sciences or engineering, Rice. For arts and crafts you would have more options at Georgetown but smaller classes and no TA's at Rice. Do you want to live in Washington, DC or do you prefer civilization?

Washington, D.C. and Houston are both large cities, so that's not a big issue for me. How good is Rice's School of Social Science? How good is Georgetown's Science programs?

It is true that Houston and DC are both large, but they are not similar. You really should visit both campuses and see the differences for yourself. I am not sure what "social science" is, other than an oxymoron. You can examine the course offerings and descriptions for each semester and the interests of the professors on each web site.
