My son got a paper acceptance letter in a Tech folder but there wasn’t anything else in it (and the letter was the same thing he was able to access online). Kind of a letdown (and a waste of paper).

2 Things I would really like to know:
Is there a deadline for Grand Challenges/Honors College applications? I am in the process of doing both and want to get peer reviews and etc. but I do not want to miss the due date!
I just submitted my Alumni scholarship application and it completely removed my formatting in the “Extracurriculars” section…it turned bullets into a mish-mash (aghh!!!) should I resubmit? (this is pretty deadline sensitive as I only have till midnight!)
Deferred people - are you sending the mid year reports? My counselor says they won’t be released until Feb end 
@emxplusb – my son submitted the alum application and formatting was messed up too - not resubmitting as doubt it will change. For EA students the Honors App period ends Feb 24th - go to honors webpage & click Selection Process. I think grand challenges is similar but we are not likely going for that. good luck!
Got acceptance letter today - in what looks like half a folder – with a bee embossed on it – then it occurred to me - the letter was sent in a Yellow Jacket.
@CA1543 Glad to know other people have experienced the same problem! (sorry that it happened to anyone, though). Thank you for informing me of the date, I could not find it earlier but I did not look at the “Selection Process” so that is probably why

Gtech has sent a mail that the RD applications are reviewd and they got 31000 applications. Result ll be on 11th march. But i applied in EA. Why gtech is to send mail regardibg RD to deferred EA ppl… does this mean tht they dint open applications of some EA applicants at all during EA review…
@USUG21 I got the same e-mail as a deferred applicant. I don’t think that they have never opened our applications, but because we were deferred we are pushed into the pool of RD applicants. Being deferred gives you no significant advantage, and we are compared equally with the RD applicants.
Did anybody get a confirmation email once they submitted deferral form? Once I clicked sent, it turned green and said submitted, but then it reloaded the page. Did anyone actually get an email confirmation or a way to verify that it was sent and received by the college?
Does anyone know if Georgia Tech requires mid year report from the school?
