I found out yesterday that I was deferred from my dream school of Georgia Tech. I applied to the architecture school. I got a 1310 out of 1600 on my SAT (660: math, 650: reading) and I took 4 AP classes, 1 dual enrollment class, and several honors classes. I have around a 3.8 unweighted academic GPA. I am also the yearbook editor at my school and I have around 70 service hours. What are my chances of being accepted? Also, how many people are usually deferred from Georgia Tech? I know 26% of students that were deferred last year got accepted. Is there anything I can do to improve my chances? Thanks!!
33% of applicants were deferred this year, and 33,000 or so applied. Did you take ap calc? The majority of admitted students (but definitely not all) have calculus. The average amount of ap classes this year was 11, and your sat is kind of low. You can go on the gt admissions twitter for some more stats. Good luck!
Thanks so much! I did take AP Calculus this year.
so 15,715 applied early action this year, and about 5,186 were deferred. I’m in the same boat as you in that I was also deferred. I think it was probably your SAT and AP classes. Just make you fill out the deferral form with anything you. an think of that might have changed since applying. Good luck!!
Thanks and good luck to you too!
Hi! Today I got wait listed. Does anyone know how many people got wait listed today? Any idea if I have a shot? Thanks!!
