German 58 and Scandinavian 50W

<p>I'm considering taking one of these two courses next quarter and I was hoping someone here has taken them before. If so, what did you think of the courses? </p>

<p>What part of court life did German 58 focus most on? I'm a bit confused about the actual content of the course as the course description gives very little information.</p>

<p>How many papers did you have to write for Scan 50W? I'm a freshman and have never taken any Writing II classes besides my cluster so I'm not sure what qualifies a class as Writing II.</p>

<p>Writing II ~ 20-25 pages worth of papers.</p>

<p>I believe Scan 50W required only 2 papers in the summer. They were short papers too, definitely less than 8 pages each.</p>
