Getting a c in a history course last semester as an engineering transfer?

Hi everyone. A real quick question. I am at my last semester prior to transferring. I am a computer science student, and my chances of getting into UC Berkeley are looking good. I have completed everything on the list of prerequisites, so no funny business there. However, I am taking a history class this semester and it is kicking my ass now. I am just concerned that should I get a C in that course, would it put my admission in jeopardy?? I don’t know whether a history course, as irrelevant as it sounds to a computer science major, would cut into the requirements for the GPA of the last semester. Anyone has a say in this? Thanks!!

It is a non-prereq so I think you will be fine, but you never know. Try to call admission or email them.

You never know what your provisional will say. Sometimes it will say B in every course or B+ in one course or a 3.0 term GPA. If, for whatever reason, you get in and your C puts you in possible jeopardy, you can often get through it as they always reassess.

Don’t bother contacting them. They will not give you an answer in advance. They never do.
