Is it worth getting a job if you don't NEED the income? I finally reached the age where I can be hired in Florida so I am not sure whether I should try and get a job... My family can pay for college and I just want to get a job to save up for a car/instruments.
How doable is a part time job? Is it even worth the trouble?

Very doable and most people around our age usually get a jjob for spending money/car. I know a friend of mine who work the graveyard shifts to get money fo rhis car+insurance+gas

Get a job… relying on your parents isn’t a good thing. Plus, work experience always looks good on a resume.

Oops, double post.

During the summer- incredibly doable/worth it.

During the school year- varies depending on your schedule. For me, it’s not even feasible.

Actually, I just realized that I do sort of have a job during the school year, but it’s a tutoring program at my school and they only get the top students, so it’s sort of made for kids with schedules like mine. I still ad to sacrifice to take it, but whatevs.

Well if I stay on track I’ll be on the “most rigorous” course schedule…

pruneface- don’t be a snob & just get a job :)
