The title may not describe exactly what I mean, but I was awarded a good amount by U. Rochester as per the Bausch & Lomb Science Award. From what I understand, that means my exploits in science have been recognized by U.R. Is that something other colleges would want to know about, or would it come across as bragging? The latter would be something I don't want to do.

What do you say?
I appreciate your help.

No. Do not notify other colleges about money you’ve been offered elsewhere. The only time you’d do that is when you’re negotiating for a better financial aid package.

Getting more money elsewhere than they’re giving you makes you less likely to accept their offer. Yield increases rankings. Thus, you don’t want to rub the money in their faces unless you’re already admitted and are trying to get the financial aid offer to match or beat another school’s package.

It wouldn’t come across as bragging. It would come across as demonstrated lack of interest. And demonstrated foolishness.
