During Orientation, I heard several of the leaders say that it is possible for Davis to get any band to play on campus as long as there are enough students interested. Does anyone know what the probable steps would be to get a band such as Muse to play on campus?

Kill twenty five people, chant MUSE MUSE MUSE, and then they'll come directly to your dorm.

Yeah, Muse might be too hard to get.

Muse performed in Freeborn 4 years ago, so it's possible that they'll come back (and hopefully they will!). Months ago there was Tegan and Sara, Death Cab for Cutie. Jason Mraz is coming up on November. Entertainment Council usually organizes these concerts and other stuff like movie screenings, so it's best to go to them (Entertainment Council - What is the EC?).

I heard they played in the Pavilion, not Freeborn. Thanks for the link though. Now I just need to see if I know anyone involved.

muse is coming?! :P if only huh?

It's definitely over-optimistic to say we can get ANY band as long as there's enough interest. Concert scheduling simply does not work like that.

We do, however, get a few big acts in every year.

We had Octoberfest down at Irvine and 3 6 Mafia came. Kobe Bryant made a shout out to us, too!! Some one said it cost half a million which was partially covered by some sponsers.

But if you have the money, you have the band! Money talks.

even people in college like MUSE...
no Opeth or Nile fans?

I like Opeth somewhat.

I am actually looking forward to the concerts in Mondavi Center more than 'band' concerts eg: PERLMAN GODLY. Pwns all u fools.
