Ok so i have already been accepted to A&m and really do enjoy the campus. But recently i have been getting cold feet about attending. I go onto the review boards for colleges reading both the positive and negative ones and well i am not white (i am Asian), agnostic (but a closet kind that keeps this stuff to himself. I would pay lip service to a church if i had to) and i am not conservative err and heterosexual if that matters. I kinda want to know how extensive the inclusion is at A&M. I am not bad mouthing the character or people there, I am sure there are plenty of friendly and caring people that i can build lifetime friendships with but I kinda wanted to know will I be ostracized? Also I have a tendency to love a good debate....so if something accidentally slips out will that come back to haunt me?

Academically I personally don't care too badly as long as I am not miserable at the school learning will occur.

i am also applying to a&m now. I had friends who live and go to school there. You shouldnt have to worry about the negative comments and the racial distinction of such. It is a big university and only a small percent complaining. Get the picture? Plus, a&m had becoming more diverse these past years so...you be the judge. I am also asian so HA! Hope 2 see you there bud.

Xiaoh, I am Asian too and likely to go to A&M next year... I am kinda like you in terms of beliefs. Yeah, people say that I shouldnt go there because of my personality, but again its a 47,000+ campus so it should be ok.

it's a very conservative school, so i think i'd fit in perfectly. i've been accepted, still waiting to see if they offer me any scholarships. If I don't get into UT-Austin or Florida, I'm definitely going to consider A&M. I love the strong school pride and traditions there.
