I am a student that is considering going to TAMU. I was just wondering what are some ways to get to College Station from either airport in an emergency (eg. flight delayed, etc.) and you miss the shuttle that runs every 3 hours? I know for a fact that an uber would not make it.

A&M has it’s own airport called Easterwood. American and United fly there. Might be an option from where you are.
Once you are an Aggie, there is a Parent FB page (for parents only) that there has been many a time that a ride has been in need and there is someone from that area who will be headed back. There is also a concierge service that might can do pick ups that @AggieMomhelp can tell you about. She may also know of more options since she lives in College Station.
It’s a pretty quick drive from IAH. Much longer from Hobby. I live in Spring, which is about 25 minutes from IAH, and the drive to TAMU is about an 1:15. Quicker if we use the toll road for part of the way.
