getting into ORMS?!

Hello everyone,

I am a current student at a CC and applied for ORMS in berkeley. I just got admitted to the college of letter and sci.

I finished most of the prerequisite in my CC and only 1 class is left (for ORMS requirement). does that mean i only get to finish that 1 class in berkeley and get a 3.2 gpa for that class and then i can get onto the waitlist ?

do the staff look at anything else before they put ppl onto the waitlist? suppose i am on the waitlist, i will get in for sure if there is open space?

thanks alot for any advice !!!

I recommend finding a different major.

Make sure that you have a backup major (applied math may be worth considering as a backup major).

ORMs is actually a pretty difficult major to get into because its impacted. I think they only allow 25-30 people in per year. I think they care mostly about GPA too. I would say that its a bit easier to get in than Haas but much harder than economics.

IEOR is also a popular substitute/ alternative
